Andrew Feltoe, Principal Chiropractor
I have been a Chiropractor since 1996 (BSc, Queensland University, Brisbane and an MSc Chiropractic, Macquarie University, Sydney) and in Leith since I opened Leith Chiropractic 13 years ago. I am registered with the General Chiropractic Council and was the secretary of the Scottish Chiropractic Association for 11 years (until October 2016). I come from a medical family but I was drawn to Chiropractic after injuring my back in school boy rugby. I didn't initially see a chiropractor but years later I discovered what was wrong with my back and that chiropractic was the best way to treat it. I am passionate about the Chiropractic lifestyle and the sustained health that it offers. Imparting this knowledge and my skills onto my clients is my goal. I live in Edinburgh with my wife Sinead and our 6 year old twins Gemma and Robert. In my spare time I enjoy swimming, cooking and being generally silly with my kids.
Ali Schwarz, Chiropractor
Joining us in January this year, Ali has relocated from Melbourne to continue her chiropractic career with us. We are thrilled to have her and she's a great addition to our team. Ali discovered chiropractic 20 years ago when she was a competitive swimmer with crippling shoulder pain. Chiropractic worked absolute wonders and she decided she wanted to be a chiropractor. Ali did an Exercise Science degree at RMIT in Melbourne before moving to Auckland to study at the New Zealand College of Chiropractic.
She has a particular interest in the effects of stress on our bodies, women's health and the gut-brain connection. Ali will work mainly out of our Leith Clinic and is currently taking on new patients. Ali says, "I'm really excited to be part of the amazing team at Trinity & Leith Chiropractic! I'm looking forward to helping to build a community of healthy, switched-on people."
Michael Nicol, Chiropractor
A warm welcome to our new Chiropractor Michael. Michael is orginally from Edinburgh, and graduated from The McTimoney College of Chiropractic in Oxford. Michael first discovered chiropractic at age 15 following a rugby injury to his back which left him in a lot of pain and unable to stand up straight. After a few weeks under Chiropractic care Michael noticed the pain he was experiencing began to ease and his posture started to improve, he began to sleep better, concentrate more and felt healthier in general. Since his first interaction with chiropractic Michael knew that it was the career for him.Michael is particularly interested in sports and the role that chiropractic can play in the rehabilitation of old and new injuries. He will be working mainly at our Trinity clinic, and says “I’m thrilled to be working in such a fantastic clinic amongst other practitioners and staff that have such extensive knowledge and experience within the profession; it is a truly exciting prospect.” Out of work Michael’s hobbies include watching rugby, cycling and spending time with his family.
Teresa Cadle, Physiotherapist & Sports / Deep Tissue / Aromatherapy Masseur
I have been practising in Edinburgh since 1998. I have an ITEC diploma in sports massage, a BSc (Hons) in Physiotherapy and am registered with the Health Care Professional Council. I've been part of the team at Leith Chiropractic for 2 years and I enjoy seeing the wide range of benefits patients get from physiotherpay and massage. When I'm not at work I have fun singing in a soul choir.
Katie Mackinnon, Chiropractic Assistant
In October 2014, I moved from Melbourne, Australia to Edinburgh to marry a Scotsman from Skye. I was seeking chiropractic treatment and came across Andrew at Leith Chiropractic. After a few adjustments I saw the clinic was seeking a Chiropractic Assistant and was lucky enough to secure the position.
I really enjoy being part of a small, caring team and meeting our patients and helping to make a difference in their lives.
Outside of work I enjoy Pilates and Piloxing, exploring this lovely city and taking in the landscape of Scotland through walks/drives.
Joyce Lowson, Chiropractic Assistant
I was born and have lived in Edinburgh all my life and for the last 30 years that has been in Trinity.
I joined the team at Trinity & Leith Chiropractic with the opening of the new clinic in Trinity in May this year.
Having worked in insurance and retail, (with many years out to raise a family) I am now enjoying my reception/chiropractic assistant role. I very much enjoy welcoming patients to the clinic and helping them in any way I can.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with my family, socialising with friends, attending my local sports /leisure club, walking, gardening and holidays.
